Hello!

I’m Lizzie, a fiction writer based in Bristol. My short stories have been short and longlisted for prizes like the Bristol Short Story Prize, Fish Short Story Prize, Short Fiction International Short Story Prize and the Brick Lane Bookshop Short Story Prize, and published in magazines such as Gutter, Litro, Riptide and others. I read widely, but some of my favourite writers include Lorrie Moore, Amy Hempel, Yan Ge and Louise Kennedy. In my own writing, I explore themes like loneliness, desire, morality and misogyny.

I’m currently querying my debut short story collection and working on my first novel.

When I’m not writing fiction, I work as a copywriter for an advertising agency. And when I’m totally off the clock, you’ll probably find me hiking up a mountain, at a dance class or rewatching old sitcoms for the thousandth time.
