Hello!

I’m Lizzie, a fiction writer based in Bristol. My short stories have been short and longlisted for prizes like the Bristol Short Story Prize, Bath Short Story Award, Fish Short Story Prize, Short Fiction International Short Story Prize and the Brick Lane Bookshop Short Story Prize, and published in magazines such as Gutter, Litro, Riptide and others. I also have an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Bristol. Shortly after finishing this in 2023, I was accepted into a six-month writing workshop with The Stinging Fly.

In October 2025, my short story collection, A Good Woman, was longlisted for the Deborah Rogers Award. I’m currently querying this with agents and working on my first novel.

When I’m not writing fiction, I work as a copywriter for an advertising agency. And when I’m totally off the clock, you’ll probably find me hiking up a mountain, at a dance class or rewatching old sitcoms for the thousandth time.
